Jais Sardo, owner & operator of small minded animation has been fascinated with stop motion since he was young. After years of working in live action, Jais decided to switch gears and start working in the niche’ animation industry. Turns out, his favorite part of stop motion was fabrication, which lead him to engineering a novel way of articulating puppet faces! The innovative mechanism, lives inside the puppet skull and is operated from behind the head. The movements can be ultra-realistic, cartoony, bizarre, whatever the character requires. Best of all, the method is cheaper than facial replacement, faster to finished animation, and gives animators the FREEDOM of expression in their performance.
We encourage you to message Jais about FAIS (facial articulation innovative systems!)
